Non-laser saline lightening is a great way to rid your old brows or ‘botched’ work. I am certified in Li-Ft Saline Removal. This procedure can be performed on healed brows (no matter the age!) — or even on fresh work. The number of sessions required will differ depending on the depth of the tattoo, saturation, pigment used, and skin type. Li-Ft Saline is ideal for cosmetic tattoos or small body tattoos.

Also, there is the option of Emergency Removal. Within 48 hours of a botched tattoo, we can perform emergency removal to very effectively lighten unsatisfactory work. Emergency Removal is time sensitive, so it’s important to contact me ASAP.

As microblading and other cosmetic tattoos become more popular, it is as important as ever to thoroughly research your artists. Read reviews, check the extensiveness of their portfolio and look for what their work looks like healed and aged. Avoid discount coupon apps for these permanent procedures. While we do expect most cosmetic tattooing to fade over time, it is rare that it ever fully disappears — and often, bad work tends to lead to scarring, blowouts, and incorrect colors that can be expensive and difficult to remove.

SALINE AFTERCARE

+ SALINE LIGHTENING/REMOVAL AFTERCARE

Remember, this is an open wound and should be treated with care. Follow these instructions closely to insure the best possible end results. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at info@pinksuedetattoo.com.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Saline lightening can take 6-8 weeks to fully heal.

• The area may stay pink for several weeks.

• During this time, you will scab. Scabs are a good part of the lightening process.

• After 8 weeks, we are able to complete additional sessions if needed.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Keep the area clean and open to the air. Do not cover with a bandage. Wash your hands prior to touching the area.

• Clean twice a day with over the counter saline. You will receive a small amount of saline in your aftercare kit, but it’s important to have some on hand for when that runs out after the first day or two. You can find saline in the first aid section of any pharmacy or target. Dampen a cotton pad with the saline and blot the area to cleanse. Do not soak the treated area with water. If it gets wet, gently pat to dry.

• Do not use any other soaps, ointments, or lotions during this time.

• Once the scabs fall off, use a small amount of the Vitamin E oil 3-4 times per day for a minimum of four weeks. Do not use the Vitamin E oil until your scabs have all fallen off. Vitamin E oil will be provided for you in your aftercare kit.

• Do not apply makeup on or near the area for 14 days.

• Stay out of pools, oceans, saunas, hot tubs, etc — as well as direct sunlight – during the healing period.

• Do not touch, pick or scratch. Allow the scabs to fall off naturally for best results.
